Morana Morte I was in darkness. So darkness I became. TAG: @abyss. WORDS: 447. NOTES: Sorry this took forever If Morana had not been so good at the game of hidden context within conversations, the black panther would have missed Silas' blatant expression of knowing and understanding the game that Morana was playing. This was going to be exceedingly fun. What clued her in was the last statement that he said about how you never know what new friends will do. Morana couldn't stop her voice from expressing, "That is very true. We must also be careful in who we trust as well, wouldn't you agree?" This time, Morana looked straight into the wolf's orange ones to drive the point home. She was not a lady to mess with.
Though it was clear that Silas had already figured that out as well as the fact that she was an assassin. Somehow, Morana got the impression that this wolf was just as good at the game as she was which meant he could end up being a powerful ally or a terrible enemy.
The Silent One smiled her own smile as the wolf flashed another charming one himself as he bowed to introduce himself. It appeared that Silas Avillio had proper manners on top of his handsome charm. Though Morana never would have exposed herself to an armed assassin like he just did with the bow. She couldn't decide if she should respect him for disregarding the knowledge and giving her proper respect as a lady or if she should assume that this wolf was simply overconfident. Morana already was dipping her own head in acknowledgement and was about to give her own name when Alira spoke stating that she needed to attend to her other guests. "You have done superb work again, Alira, my dear. I no longer require your services tonight. Sleep well when you are able to."
As Alira was stepping out of the room, Morana held out her paw slightly to show her own proper greeting as a lady to a gentleman, "My name is Morana Morte. Maybe we can be of use to each other, yes? As well as get down to a few business matters now that there are no prying ears? For starters, you know exactly what I am by now, so what peice do you play in this game, Silas?" Morana knew that Alira kept secrets and that everyone had them, it was why she stayed at this Inn. She also knew that she needed to protect Alira if this wolf was even worse than she was which happened more than one would expect. The Fallen respected all of their connections. Other groups and individuals might not have the high standards that Morana expected out of her own assassins.

"That is very true. We must also be careful in who we trust as well, wouldn't you agree?"
Silas grinned, trust was a prerequisite for interactions between a broker and their client. Without trust, there would never be a business for Silas to monopolize. Lucky for him, his clients had eventually come to trust his every word. With good reason, he was rarely, if ever, wrong about his information and lying to his clients was something he would never consider. Even a single lie could crumble the entire foundation of his network, as such Silas made it a policy never to lie, to clients that is. "I dearly agree, my lady. You never know who may turn out traitorous. Best to be careful," Silas responded, unflinchingly under the panther's gaze. Silas chuckled internally, it seemed the lady was not to be trifled with. It didn't mean that he would walk on eggshells though, in fact, it only excited him ever the more.
"My name is Morana Morte. Maybe we can be of use to each other, yes? As well as get down to a few business matters now that there are no prying ears? For starters, you know exactly what I am by now, so what piece do you play in this game, Silas?
Silas watched contently as Morana introduced herself with a motion of her paw. It seemed he had been right to bow in his introduction. The panther clearly valued manners in some form or another. "Oh, I do believe that we can, most definitely, be of use to each other," Silas responded, taking a few steps forward to take his place at the table. His demeanor shifted some becoming more serious as he continued his speech, "Prying ears should find no place here should they wish their life in danger." Silas smiled sweetly, lightening the words he had just spoken. It was a smile to conceal the darker truths and matters to any spying eyes. Settling himself at the table, Silas spoke with an assuredness that their conversation would not be heard. "Pleasure to be of acquaintance, Morana. I am the Master of the information network, Spiderweb. As an informant who knows of every secret in both the underworld and the mundane world, I believe I will be of use to you, Assassin Morana Morte, or should I say The Silent One." Silas had collected through his information network a motley description of the leader of the Silence Fallen Assassin Guild along with a couple whispered possible names. He was unsure if Morana was really the Silent One but it seemed quite likely and so he ventured a guess. He figured if he guessed correctly than it would be a good display of his reach and usefulness. That in and of itself was well worth the risk.
Many would have winced at Silas revealing both the name of his organization and his place in it but to Silas it was more than worth the risk. By revealing his place as leader, he effectively shut out any chance of his informants being targeted. He wished only for their safety and if that meant increased risk to himself than he would allow it. Some may say that by revealing the name of the organization, nullifies his attempt at protecting them by giving his title but Silas has carefully hidden who is a member of the network. If one were to search, they would either turn up with far too many possibilities or none. In this way, he protects his informants so that none may ever face threat due to being one of his informants. 605 WORDS Whew it sure is long. silas is a talker THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

Morana Morte I was in darkness. So darkness I became. TAG: @abyss. WORDS: 400. NOTES: I was having a very hard time finding muse for Morana, I do apologize. The wolf met her gaze with unflinching orange eyes and the game of trust quickly became a game of veiled references formed from the minute searching of locked stares. Just as the assassin had warned him or her power and abilities; Silas was also warning her of his own power and abilities. Morana did not even try to hide her smirk. This strange wolf was obviously deadly in his own right and demanded that he be respected exactly like she had done. Impressive, I can't wait to tell Raaj about this meeting. First, I will have to see how it plays out.
Silas agreed with her observation that the two could be of use to each other which implied that his intelligence was just as good as any of her top assassins. As Silas explained why he was going to be useful to her, Morana's silver eyes widened ever so slightly in pleasant surprise. Though her smile wavered from the shock for only a fraction of a second, Morana's smile became a rare genuine grin. "It seems that this chance encounter might not have been so surprising after all. I'm sure that you also know that my assassins and I have been using this Inn for years, correct? Why show yourself to me now, Broker and Master of Spiderwebs?" Though her words were suspicious, Morana refused herself to show her true feelings. The glimmer of shock and surprise had been a weakness that Silas might use against her assassins.
It was now vitally imperative that Morana strike up a deal or bond with Silas before the nights end or all of her assassins might be in danger from other groups that Silas was informing or not. Morana could not afford the latter. Her Fallen were easily some of the best assassins in all of Paradiastole and she had grown their numbers large enough to where the SFAG was almost ready to start advancing on the other assassin guilds to completely take over the underground one guild at a time. But someone like Silas could destroy generations of hard work and careful planning if Moranna failed to strike a binding deal. She would be choosing her words carefully as should the wolf. Her silent promise of not killing him was now precarious. Though Morana had to now weigh the pros and cons of killing him if he came to that decision.

Silas watched for Morana's reaction from the revelation. If there was any sign that she planned on attacking him, he was quite ready with his daggers. He knew he wouldn't be able to defeat her but he was also aware that he had allies in many places. His abilities were only enough to let him escape but that was more than enough. His allies valued him for his information and network, a few words from him and the Silence Fallen would become hunted. It seemed that would not be the case though. He noted a widening of her eyes, she was surprised but not angered. There would be no fighting, at least, not yet.
Silas's smiled slyly, "I have known for some time." Alira had kept him informed of what she knew of those who came and went in the Inn. It was only due time for Silas to make his own moves. It had happened sooner than he expected, ah but, can't control everything now can you. Morana's words and actions confirmed his suspicions of some but mostly it dismissed his doubt about who she was. It would be an interesting game for the rest of the night. "A flip of the coin perhaps." Silas teased, his smile warm. "It seems things are beginning to move and one could say I wanted to secure my place in the game. I have been collecting information on all the assassin guilds. By chance, you are the one that I made contact with first." Silas had not actually cared which guild he contacted with first. Information is power and having Silas on their side would have bolstered their strength. They all would have contacted him eventually. It was only by chance that Silence Fallen was the one that appeared on his field first. "Perhaps the gods have guided this meeting," Silas continued, gesturing at both his and her Marks, THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY
