The wide stretch of sands spreading across the western side of Parthaan is home to many dangerous creatures. In spite of the oases and the rivers Zir and Arvia, the land remains arid and void of growth, marking it as a land cursed by Mrithun, the god of Death. Still many others regard it as the Land of the Sun, and it is here Kohriander's temple was built.
