Identifying Features || The Mark of the God of Smithing, the Silver Swords, are on the front edge of his right wing. The faded Mark of the God of the Sun, the Golden Sun, lies above his left leg. Rylock is slightly larger than average and boosts larger and stronger wings than the average ferruginous hawk. His eyes are a stormy grey. He otherwise has no real defining feature.

Clothing || Due to his occupation, Rylock chooses to wear cool, simple clothing. He typically dons a simple, brown vest while at the smithy. When out, he adds a back pouch with two side pockets for placing metals and other items too large for the main pocket.

Weapons || He carries no weaponry but does have steel feathers made to allow both flight support along with the ability to be used as both a short and mid range weapon.


the personality
Overall || Rylock can be described as neither rambunctious nor wild. He is rather quiet and is often at work in the smithy. When he is typically found speaking, it is usually about his work. At times, he can be seen gazing off into the distance, usually in the direction of Qarys, with a look of longing. Due to his quiet nature, few come to speak with him just for the fun of it. Though for those who have taken the chance to get to know him, they find that he is actually more than just the quiet, prodigal smith but also an animated person and quite fun to converse with. With his knowledge of how it is living under the constant disappointment of his family, people often find him to know just how to help a person face their demons or get through troubled times. Some more thoughtful folks notice that though he is good with dealing with other's demons, he has yet to face his own.

History || Rylock thought his parnets were exceptional. That was what they always told him. They were both highly accomplished in the military and had both been blessed with gifts of fire and strength from the God of the Sun. His siblings were the same. Thought they weren't gifted by the Sun God, it was clear to see that they were destined for great honors as well and was expected to eventually gain gifts from Kohriander some day as well. His family expected the same from Rylock.

Rylock was never gifted, it was clear that the Sun God did not care form him. His parents and his siblings looked at him with disgust. Unable to allow that, Rylock fled the home for many hours a day searching for a way to get recognition from the Kohriander. He prayed from dawn to dusk, hoping beyond hope to discard this cloak of disgrace his family had placed on him. It never happened.

One day, Rylock drawn to a smithy. For an entire year, he would come back to it every day, over and over, to watch the blacksmiths at work. After that year, he realized his gift for blacksmithing. He was a natural prodigy with an endless stream of ideas. Soon after this realization, he was gifted by the God of Smithing with Inspiration.

In the years to come, he would travel the world, selling his crafts and eventually set up shop in Khariva Plains. He became a world renowned blacksmith. His weaponry and armor would become known for having a delicate beauty like fragile glass but still hold a strength and sharpness beyond any seen before. His jewelry would become know for its beauty, grace, and allure. Each design more unique than the last, each with its own life. His most famed work though was a set of wings that allowed the wearer flight, for a certain distance depending on the ratio of the size of the wearer to the size of the wings, and a reliable defensive and offensive weapon. He was known for being willing to make anything one requested no matter what one's background was. His parents begrudgingly accepted his position as blacksmith due to his fame but to this day, they still look at him as a sign of disgrace for the family.
