The giant whale did a very good job of shifting the sand away so that it revealed the majority of the cargo crates cast off in this particular area, and Uana Li was very satisfied to not have to spend a great deal of time digging on her own. She loved finding things, but sometimes finding was not quite as fun as the searching, when it involved a great deal of physical labor.
Uana Li swooped down and unearthed the cargo that had been revealed by Wisteria’s digging, and what little remained buried she brought back up in no time. Omu began searching the packs on Ua’s back until he came up with some rope. The mimic octopus released Uana Li’s back and floated down to the cargo boxes, which he tied up securely with the rope. Then the octopus swam back to Uana Li and tied the rope to her harness deftly.
“This should make for a good first haul,” Uana Li said with a smile. “Thanks for your help, Wisteria. You make a good finder.” She did not ask that the blue whale accompany her back to the gulf where she would make her first drop off. Certainly the whale had better things to do, and Uana Li, for all her self focus, did not want to inconvenience the whale, since Wisteria had shown kindness to her.
“I have to bring this first group back to the ship’s captain, and then it’s on to find more,” the dolphin explained with a big grin. She did love finding. Most creatures didn’t understand, but that was okay with her. All that mattered was that she had plenty of opportunity to prove herself the best finder in the world, and she did, each and every day.

Wisteria watched Uana work with silent consideration. The dolphin seemed to really enjoy her work. The two creatures worked efficiently with each other with the octopus responding to the dolphin's actions with ease. It was a partnership that showed how long they had been together. Wisteria had never experienced such a partnership herself, especially with smaller creatures. With their small size, she rarely ever notices when they approach her. It was a rude gesture and Wisteria hoped dearly to remove it.
Wisteria listened to Uana. She had had a pleasant time with the dolphin but despite it being her day-off, Wisteria still worried about the day's shipments. She was the main courier for emergency and priority shipments and so when she wasn't around, the shipments for them slowed. She could never take a off-day seriously as she always returned to the company early. In a way, she was glad that the little creature didn't ask her to accompany her. At the moment, a nagging feeling was telling Wisteria to go check on the company. "Well then I will you to your business then. I will be on my way. I have a nagging feeling that I should return to my company. Farewell then, Uana. Till we meet again," with a nod of her head, Wisteria made to leave. 218 WORDS let us wrap it up here THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

It seemed that, true to Uana Li’s suspicion, the whale had things she must tend to. The dolphin did not feel disappointed. Creatures and helpers came, and they went, and ultimately the only thing that mattered was Ua’s work. That was the consistent thing in her life. Though the object of her searches changed, the fact that she continued to look didn’t, and that was enough to bring her comfort.
Uana Li bobbed her head as a gesture of respect. “Fair tides and good finds to you, Wisteria!” she squeaked happily. It was always good to make new friends, she thought, not really considering whether or not she’d made enough of an impact on the whale to be considered a friend. To the dolphin, anyone nice was worth naming as a friend. She never made any real, longtime friends, unless Omu counted. Her life was far too unpredictable, her travels too far-reaching, for anything more, and that was the way she liked it. So even though Wisteria said “til we meet again,” Ua felt that this was probably their last meeting, which did not make her sad, it was simply a fact that she faced without any fear. If she wanted to find a friend again, she could.
After all, Uana Li could find anything.
